In the inaugural edition of the challenge, we are proud to collaborate with SATS - one of the world's leading food services and gateway companies - to address challenges in food production, specifically food and packaging waste management and reduction.
We believe that OCBC, with our financial network and SATS, with their culinary and technical expertise, can create a greater impact in this area, by working together. Addressing this problem will not only improve food security but also reduce carbon emissions.
Beyond helping SATS achieve its goal to halve food wastage in all operations by 2028, we hope that the OCBC Sustainability Innovation Challenge will also help the broader food ecosystem reduce the proportion of wastage in food production by creating new, disruptive solutions.
